Holmes & Hills
A legal services firm, Holmes & Hills offers a full range of expertise across both commercial and private client sectors. The firm has four offices across three Essex towns, the county from where the majority of its clients are sourced. Recent years have seen several changes including a highly successful re-branding exercise and expansion to new, larger offices.
The firm contacted APC Solutions because it needed an efficient way to link two of its offices in Braintree. Staff at the two locations required voice and data communications via this link so that they could communicate effectively and offer clients one telephone number as a key point of contact.
The Motorola link supplied and installed by APC enables them to do this, giving clients a seamless easy to access service. When the firm moved to new premises APC was able to relocate the link thus maximising the cost savings that the firm was already making. The Motorola point to point technology gives Holmes & Hills high bandwidth that is more than capable of meeting the demands of a modern law firm. The exceptional levels of reliability that come with the link mean that the business can rely on service performance, even in urban situations where radio congestion is likely to be a factor.
Today’s legal services providers need fast and reliable communications in order to compete. Systems such as CRM, residential conveyancing and case management are all essential if clients are to receive a prompt and professional service, as Trevor Sleaman, IT Manager at Holmes & Hills, explains: “Legal services have become highly competitive. Clients still want personal contact with their lawyers but there is undeniably more and more reliance on electronic communication and, within our firm, systems that support our work patterns and allow us to manage the business from a commercial viewpoint. The wireless link from APC Solutions gives us easy and fast communication between two sites and, compared with the alternative of a leased line, saves the firm a substantial amount of money.”
