Established in 1855 it is one of the oldest, and most highly regarded, property agencies in existence today. The company has become renowned for its innovative premium service and strategic relationships that help meet the exacting demands of its clients.
APC Solutions is proud to have worked with the UK operation of Savills through its offices in Oxford and Southampton. Due to substantial growth in both locations the company moved to new premises and employed APC to install Cablefree Free Space Optics (FSO) 100Mb connectivity. These point to point links provide Savills with up to 99.99% reliability even in congested radio traffic areas as is the case in these two major cities. The links are used for voice and data transfer and have a Proxim radio backup system in place, which is deployed for disaster recovery purposes and ensures continuity of service.
This connectivity solution has provided Savills with easy to manage data and voice links over which staff can communicate easily. Down time is non-existent due to the Proxim back-up and costs are kept low through the use of point to point wireless connectivity instead of leased lines.
