APC Sponsors Gigaware Motorsport 2008

The lightning fast world of FIA GT Motorsport has just got a new sponsor – APC Solutions! 

The synergy is obvious – fast cars, fast communications – as APC Director, David Bell explains:  “This was a fantastic opportunity for our business to get involved with one of the most exciting sports in the UK.  We were approached regarding sponsorship in conjunction with Gigawave, one of our customers, who provide on board camera technology to GT and Formula One racing.  This technology means that we can put live video footage on our site, plus telemetry data and all the news from the pit lane.”

Driving the Aston Martin DBR9 will be Luke Hines who has already proved himself with 16 podium places in the 2006 season.  Like many other drivers, Luke’s background is in karting, and his current performance suggests he could be following in the footsteps of recent greats like David Couthard and Lewis Hamilton.  His co-driver will be the highly accomplished GT racing driver, Philipp Peter.

The season starts in April with the first race from Silverstone; you can catch all the latest here on the site and keep up with progress throughout the season up to the final race in November from Argentina.  Look out for the silver DBR9 and the APC logo.
